The goal of the program is to prepare the student for an entry-level position as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I - CPT 1. The student is trained in the principles of venipuncture, hands on techniques and the following categories; quality assurance and legal issues; infection control, safety and first aid. training length is 64 hours plus additional mandatory 40 hours externship with a total of 104 hours for a total of 6 weeks
